Good questions.
What kind of catering do you offer?
Pollen & Platter offers buffet catering, available as drop-off or staffed service. The menu collection includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, food bars, grazing, small bites, drinks, sweets and seasonal selections. Passed appetizers are an optional addition for any occasion.
Can you create an entirely custom menu?
Our current menu collection is the starting point for P&P gatherings. Tell us what you like and share any dietary needs. If your event calls for a fully bespoke menu, let us know so we can help direct your inquiry within Lavender Haze Hospitality.
What is included in the price?
Menu prices and package inclusions appear with each selection. A 19% service charge applies, and staff is billed separately. Applicable delivery, venue requirements, rentals and tax will be addressed in your proposal. Review the full proposal for your total.
Is there an order minimum?
Minimums vary by menu and service. The menus show published guest counts and package requirements; grazing tables have a $1,000 minimum investment. Share your event details so we can confirm the minimum that applies.
Can you cater at our office or venue?
Tell us the address and date. We serve Madison and the surrounding region, with travel and delivery confirmed for your event. Venue catering rules, access, setup space and timing need to be reviewed before booking.
What about dietary needs and allergies?
Please share allergies and dietary requirements before selecting your menu. We’ll review available options with you. Our kitchen handles common allergens, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Menu dietary labels do not replace an allergy conversation.
Can you provide staff?
Yes. Request staffed buffet service or passed appetizers when you inquire. Staffing is separately quoted. Your agreement will specify service hours and responsibilities, including setup, clearing, breakdown and waste removal where arranged.
Do you provide tableware rentals?
Yes. Our tableware collection includes dinner plates, salad and appetizer plates, flatware and glasses. Availability, quantities and rental charges are confirmed in your proposal. Disposable napkins are available. Table linens and cloth napkins must be arranged directly with a third-party provider.
Do you offer drinks?
Yes. Browse Liquid Luxuries in the menu collection for our nonalcoholic drinks. If you are interested in bar service, mention it in your inquiry so the appropriate service and terms can be discussed.
When should we inquire?
Contact us as soon as you have a date or a short list of dates. Availability depends on the schedule, guest count and service requested. If your gathering is coming up soon, include that clearly in your inquiry.
How do booking and payment work?
Your written proposal and agreement confirm the payment schedule, final menu and guest-count deadlines, cancellation terms and service scope. Please review those documents before booking; the agreement governs your event.
Can we arrange a tasting?
Ask about tasting options when you inquire. Availability, format, charges and any booking credit will be confirmed before a tasting is scheduled.
Who handles the venue arrangements?
You or your planner book the venue and confirm its current requirements. Share those requirements with us so we can agree on food access, equipment, setup and service. A directory listing does not reserve a venue or confirm catering approval.

you’re imagining.
You don’t need every answer before you inquire. The date, guest count and place are a good beginning.
